My fiancée have a 6 months old baby with a other woman, we are engage for 5 years and want to get married now, but he wants the baby, will it be bad for him to get custody because he is engaged to a other woman already for 5 years. What will the changes be for him to get custody. The mother don't have a licence, so if the baby get sick she can't take the kid to the doctor, her salary is not enough to afford a flat on her own.

Unless the mother was deemed an unfit mother... evidence of neglect or abuse, it is unlikely he would obtain custody. She could use public transportation, as many people do... and she could receive government assistance for help with a place to live, as many people do. Those would not be reasons for her to lose custody.

Please tell us where you are at, and what nations law you are under.

DoulaLC answered from the US point of view, but since you said they did not have a license so they could not get medical care ( and that is not true of the US) I will assume you are in the culture of some other country.

We are staying in South Africa, public transport is not easy to get where we stay.

I agree with DoulaLC,just because a person has more money than the other doesn't make them a better parent, not saying that the dad may not be a good farther, but there is nothing wrong with government assistance because everybody in the world isn't going to make that much money. Its good that he wants to be in his child life, but she should have custody if she is fit and still you can be in that child's life
