Hello I'm trying to replace my old thermostat Amana with a new one from honeywell
the old is :
Amana not sure which numbers are the model number so I'll list them all.

wires that were hooked up are:
brown-X2
white-W1
blue-W2
Green-G
red-R
Orange-O
black-Y1
grey-E
neon green-X1
and there is another red wire that isn't connected to any thing.

the honeywell is model RTH7400
And the options for heat pump are:
C
G
Y
O/B
RC
R
AUX

I hope I have provided enough info for some help on the install
thanks for your help
Jason

Here is your old sub base wiring diagram. Just transpose to the new. Note the X wire will not be hooked up I believe so just tape it off.

Wow that was a fast response hvac1000! OK I see the description of the old system but how do I find this on the new one to know which wires go where? i.e. On the old one it looks like the G was fan relay but how do I find what the fan relay is on the honeywell? And so on/.

One of these should have come with the new thermostat. Read it and wire as stated.

Ok maybe I'm making this harder than it is I guess what I really need is which color wire from the old Amana thermostat to the new honeywell. Would it help if I sent a picture of the old one wired up?
Sorry for being so difficult
