There is a hardware solution from Keyspan by Tripp Lite (http://www.keyspan.com). ABout $130 if I remember right. Can share 2 to 4 USB serial devices like printers, scanners and hard drives depending on model. Look at the USB serial servers.

No audio or video devices.

Hi,

Normally I don't think there will be a chance to share a scanner over the network. However try the link below perhaps will help.

Try this site : RemoteScan® - Use Scanners with Terminal Server and Citrix® (http://www.remote-scan.com/)

Hope this will help!!
Regards,
Naim

As far as HP goes, this is one of the things you decide before the purchase. The scanners that support network based scanning have a higher price tag. The software for the network based All-In-Ones has options to select it as a network device.

Sharing a printer on the network is easy. Sharing a scanner or fax is a different story.

Remote scan will work

This will work if it is just a scanner, if it is an All-In-One Scanner/Printer it will not work. You would just be able to share the printer part and not the scanner

This will also work if just scanner - Blind Scanner Pro

And I have also had luck with - Infothek Scan
