Right here's the problem

I have a friend lets call him fred and he's in love with a girl lets call her jade. The problem is that jade doesn't feel the same way about fred but jade likes freds best friend(but nothing will happen there ) so fred knows that nothing will happen but he can't stop thinking about her. He listens to love songs and thinks of her. Dreams of her everything. Jade knows he feels this way and she is not helping because she keeps on talking to him and I have told them both th leave each other alone but they can't and I have done everything I can think of but nothing seems to help

I need advice on what to do help please  please someone help because I hate to c fred so sad

I don't see that there is too much else you can do. They will do what they want, all you can do is a friend as offer your advice and hope they adhere to it...

Sorry. Looks like Fred is going to learn the hard way.

Look. My friends and I have a motto, now that I just recently went through it. EVERYONE MUST experience heart break at some point in time in their life. Fred's feelings are going to come crashing down on him eventually, and it will suck... but he HAS to go through this at some point.

I wish you luck.

I think there's some truth to this. The reason for it is that unless you do, you never really appreciate why it meant so much to you in the first place. The best you can hope for is that your trust is not broken and you don't lose faith in love and relationships.

And they normally have to do it again and again and again.

Like/Love/Lust such wonderful emotions!

Unrequited love can still be quite heartbreaking. Luckily, Fred here hasn't experienced physical intimacy with Jade yet so in theory it'd be easier to get over her versus having a full blown relationship that's gone sour.

Fred needs to learn to accept that Jade just doesn't feel the same way about him. He needs to realize that there's the possibility she never will feel this way about him and he should definitely move on.

The previous posters are absolutely right. You can show someone the path they need to walk down but you can't walk it for them.
