I am DESPERATE NEED of a GOOD debt consolidator. All my credit cards have now ran other the limit and I am having a hard time catching up. Some people have mentioned to me to get a debt consolidation company to help me pay them off... any one have a good recommendation of a good company that's NOT a rip off and has low fee's?

Do you research on the internet by googling debt consolidation firms. Some people (on the legal boards) have had great success and other people using the same service in another area have NOT had good success.
Every consolidation service I'm familiar with charges a straight percentage of the total debt.
Is there a not-for-profit credit counselling agency in your area? They are often very helpful.
If this involves the student loans a consolidation agency most probably cannot help you.
Many will not handle some of the loans and not the others.
As you were advised on the other thread, an Attorney's advice is probably needed here.

Well this is all my personal credit cards... no student loans. I am not aware of any counselors here in my area, but I haven't really looked. Would I just look in the yellow pages? What would I look under?
I am not very good at looking things up on the internet... to me they all seem like scams! :-/
Thanks for your help...

That's probably because they usually are scams - :)
Here's a really great site - just click to it - that I find most helpful. United Fund in your area may have such a service or know which ones are good/bad/indifferent.
It's an awful situation where these "services" can LEGALLY call themselves not-for-profits... and then take advantage of people like you who are trying to get out from under, pay their debts, just need more time to do so.
I hestitate to mention a single service by name because so many people have posted problems.
How about trying this: BBB Alerts & News (http://www.bbb.org/alerts/article.asp?id=613)
