For some reason my computer can not access the internet anymore... I can access my internal network, but when I click on the internet icon I get the error: "iexplorer.exe is not a valid win32 application" so I have tried going to run and typing, www... Or http://... but I still get the error message about it not being a valid win32 app, I have tried uninstalling i.e. explorer and reinstalling it, but I still get the same error

Try going to add/remove programs.. pick IE and click remove, it will then give you the option to repair. Give it a shot.
Have you installed any other apps recently?

No I haven't. Before I saw your reply, I had uninstalled it, then reinstalled a different version. I also tried Firefox. I do have internet activity though. For instance, Symantec goes on the internet to check for updates, that worked. Anything that involves the internet, that doesn't involve opening up the browser, works just fine. I also ran spyware/antivirus detection software, but nothing was found. I'm not to sure what else to do.

Try resetting IE defaults
Tools, interent options, adv tab, on bottom, click Reset Defaults
See if that helps

Try this:
Download install run - malwarebytes (Malwarebytes.org (http://malwarebytes.org))
Select full scan - once done - fix ALL
Now, download CCleaner - run it.. clean out the temp files, internet cache, etc...
