My husband is self employeed. He pays his child support accurately. His ex-wife is angry at him right now and says that she can have his child support deducted out of my paycheck. Now I find that hard to believe considering that is not my child support order or children. Is that possible? Is there any way someone can have his child support deducted from my paycheck?

I'm not a legal expert, but as far as I know, if he's up to date on his child support payments, pays it on time, then she has no case. Now, if he's late on his payments or behind, you, as his new wife can have the payments deducted from your paycheck because you're married to him.

Again, I'm not a legal expert, but that's my understanding.

Check back, hopefully a legal expert will come answer your question.

Im going to have to disagree here with Altie... your check cannot be garnished. They can go after your bank account though.

But if he is on time with his payments, there isn't anything they can do.

No your paycheck can not be garnished, She is just talking bull to cause trouble for your and hubby.

You and hubby needs to stop listening to her, pick up kids and ingore her as much as possible
