Hey my periods are irregular but when I have them they are like 2 weeks long. This month after my period I continued bleeding for 3 more weeks. I been having unprotected sex for longer then a year and I still haven't got pregnant yet. Sometimes I have multiple pregnancy symptoms and my stomach gets a little bigger but when I take hpt they are all negative. I wonder if there is something I should be concern about? If you can help me I will appreciate it thanks.

I'm no expert on this, but if you are having irregular periods, it's probably because you aren't ovulating regularly. That's the reason why we get a period right? Cause our egg wasn't fertilized. A friend of mine is going through this same thing right now, and she had to go see her doctor and be put on some sort of medication that makes her ovulate regularly. :)

Irregular bleeding and not being pregnant after more than a year of unprotected sex are two of the more common reasons to see your doctor. They will run some initial tests to determine whether there is any concern that needs to be addressed or if the irregular bleeding is just the norm for you. Some women do have bleeding that does not fall into the usual pattern but it is perfectly normal for them.
