Hi I am melissa. My 7 year old daughters dad is a deadbeat.he only sees her on his convience and 90% of them times he doesn't show up and it breaks her heart. Also I have a case open with department of child support and they garnish his wages but every time his takes effect and he notices he's paying automatically he quits his job. This has gone on for at least 3 years now. I have contacted dcse about this several times and they are doing nothing. If you have any advice please help! Thanks so much

Unfortunately I have no advice for you. If he is willing to quiot his job just to get out of paying support, there is not much you can do. You can talk to the agency about other punitive measures like suspending driver's license, or jail time or attaching tax returns. Beyond that you don't have much recourse.

All of these actions have been taken. His license has been suspended for months. And as far as tax returns, he keeps quitting jobs, so therefor I don't get anything. The only action that has not been taken is incarseration. I have to be able to do something. He needs to know that I wasn't the only one who is responsible for her. It is still OUR daughter even though we are not together and its not fair that I have to struggle to support her and he gets the easy life. So if anyone knows further steps to take please let me know.thanks much

Sorry, but I don't see any more options. I have to wonder about your feeling that he gets the easy life. Not allowed to drive, working menial jobs so he doesn't have much money. How is that the easy life?
