I am a barber in Virginia, how do I become bonded and insured?

Why do you need to be bonded, are you working in someone else's shop and they want you bonded in cause you steal money?
But you go to the insurance agent, most likely the one doing the business insurance for the barber shop and buy it.

Hi, michaelsmith!
I just titled, merged and cleaned things up a bit about what you're asking that you had placed as a response to someone else's old question and moved it all to a separate thread so that your question will get noticed as being your own.
This place doesn't work the same way that a chat room does. So, if someone has a question that's not a reply of some kind to the original question that's at the very top of the page, then it's best to be starting a new thread with the new question.
Your question will now get noticed much more as being your own.
Concerning your question, I agree with Fr_Chuck. And, I would like to add that you definitely need at least liability insurance. Whether you need to be bonded or not - we need to know that you have been told in some way that it's a requirement to do that. If it's not, then you could save yourself some money by not having to purchase bonding insurance.
Thanks!
