I just replaced my sump pump.

The old pump used an in line check valve. I decided to keep it because it would allow me to replace the new one someday without flooding the work area.

I also used a screw in check valve because it enabled me to attach the pvc pipe to the pump easily. Plus I had one laying around and I did not have a pvc sump pump connector. Basically, I used what I had.

Can anyone see a problem with this? None appeared during several test cycles. Plus, it was very quiet.

It will be OK to use two check valves in one line. Make sure that the direction of flow is the same on both.

If both check valves are working then, while your set up may be usual, I can find no fault with it. Good luck, Tom
