I am on call in probation, my P.O. recently said I can just email him. I was court ordered to take a recovery class and I completed it. Now all I have to do is email my PO and not get arrested. I live two hours away from my my PO, and I was wondering if he will drug test me and how he would if he did? Thanks for any insight you have

Most likely not, but he can call you and require you to come in the next day, or show up at your home one night

Are you on probation for a drug related offense? If so then count on getting tested.

The more I think about this the more this screams "I WANNA GO GET HIGH BUT I DON'T WANNA GET CAUGHT AND GO TO JAIL" and that mentality just irks me to no end. You obviously did something to get yourself in trouble so maybe you should be more concerned about playing it clean and maybe learning from your mistakes.

You are right, I do want to get high and I don't want to go to jail. I'm on probation for underage drinking. I know there's no way he will show up at my house 2 hours away. I was thinking they might send me to a lab somewhere around where I live or something but I'm pretty clueless. Has anyone been in this situation before?

I got news for you Champ, they don't have to send you to a lab, they can send you to your local hospital as well. My question to you is this, is getting high really worth violating your probation?

Think of it this way, you can either get lucky, or go to jail for violating probation. Or just use this as an excuse to quit using. This may be the wakeup call you need. You will get busted if you use while on probation. And if you don't, then you will get busted soon afterwards. Just be ready to do time if you do the crime. Don't be a that kid, just become a man.

Your right, it's a real stupid thing to risk. Ive just been thinking about it since all I have to do is email my po. It seems so easy to get away with but I'm just not the kind of guy who enjoys jail so I guess I will stay clean.

I think that is your safest bet. Just hope that mentality remains AFTER your probation is lifted.

Just be smart about it. Don't use while on pro, and if at all possible don't use once your off. We all have our vices, but don't let them control your life. If you could handle what you were doing, you would most likley not be in trouble. Learn to enjoy your addictions, without letting them take control.
Rule one. Never use at or during work. 2. Never let using affect work, family, or friends.
3. If you break rules one or two, its time to get help. If you can smoke or whatever without it controlling your life, then good for you. Just don't do it while on pro. It will just make for more trouble, and you will be labeled.

Broncos has not been back since January 2009 - if you have a question, why not open your own thread instead of piggybacking on an old thread.
