My whrilpool washer starting making a radlling rrrrrrrrrrrrr sound and it is
Not spinning
I adjusted the clothing so that it was against the drum
And place on spin cycle again and it was still making the same sound and not spinning
I removed the clothing items and place on spin cycle again
But, that did not work

Chances are that you've either torn the drive belt or it has slipped off from where it is attached from the motor to the washing drum - to verify this just disconnect the washer from power & water and you should be able to remove the cover on the back. If it's still under warranty though, don't touch anything or you'll void it - if it's not under warranty, check for yourself and maybe ring a local repairer or the manufacturer to purchase a new belt <-- it would be cheaper than having them charge you to knock on your door to tell you something you already know...
