A very dear friend Kursten had a heart attack and is on life support. She is and only child and parents are passed. She has a daughter that is 11yrs old. The father of the child for some odd reason believes he has some power over what will happen to Kursten. They were never married and have been completely apart for 10 yrs. Now he has a problem with it because he wants to go home and be done. The Dr. would like to give Kursten 7 more days. He doesn't
Because he has a child with Kurstan can he take on power to make the choice.

However, if he is the legal father of her daughter, then it is likely that he will get custody of the child when your friend dies. Since she is a minor and your friend died intestate, it is likely he will have control over her inheritance.
