I hope I'm in the right place to ask this one. I'm going to show my age but someone surely will remember what I'm talking about. When I was a kid there was a mug that you could buy at the discount stores made of plastic that you would take the inner sleave and put it in your freezer and freeze solid the liquid inside the mug walls. Once frozen you inserted it into its outer sleave and poured coke or any other drink into it and it would start freezing the drink like a slushie or icee type consistancy. I cannot find where to buy these anymore any help would be GREATLY appreciated. ;)

I have not seen any of those in years. You might try Ebay they have a lot of old fashion stuff there.

Yes, and A/W root beer had glass ones that you put the entire mug in the freezer ( still have one of those at my mom's house)

Good old A&W. In the summer only there is a small stand that has food and A&W root beer arounf these parts. It is not called a A&W root beer stand anymore but they still have the good stuff. A couple of big balls of Vanilia ice cream in that root beer tops it off. The only problem is I should not have it but if the wife does not find out I am OK. LOL.

There are things like these still on the market:

Frosty Beer Mugs - I Want One Of Those (http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/frosty-beer-mugs/index.html)

But, I'm not sure what you mean by "it would start freezing the drink like a slushie or icee type consistancy". These certainly won't do that.

They are called the Slush Mugs. I was just thinking about them too. You can find them here: Slush Mug - Compare Prices, Reviews and Buy at NexTag - Price - Review (http://www.nextag.com/slush-mug/search-html). They seem to be the cheapest.

Have fun!
