My 5 year old lab mix had his second seizure in 10 months. All blood work comes back fine. What is causing this?

Labs are prone to epilepsy, it might not show up on blood work unless they specifically test for it, I'm surprised that your vet doesn't know this.
I have a lab, for many years, starting at around age 4 he had seizures. It got to the point where he had many seizures every day, it was horrifying to watch his eyes roll back into his head, his tongue hanging out, foaming at the mouth, losing bladder control and not being able to function for sometimes 1/2 hour after the seizure was finished.
We took him to the vet, he prescribed meds, they didn't work and they made him very lethargic. We tried the meds for a full year and they had very little effect. Finally we went to a different vet, and he prescribed the most amazing thing ever, green beans. Yes, you heard me, green beans. He told us to give him green beans every day. Well, our lab is now 13 1/2 years old and he hasn't had a seizure since he was 6. Obviously the green beans work.
Try the green beans, and take your dog to a different vet, tell him that you suspect epilepsy, but remember, I'm only guessing, I can't give you an accurate diagnosis.
Good luck.
