On January 9th I took two tests which came back negative. On the 12th I took a test and was also negative. Today I have taken two tests and both are positive with a perfectly clear line. Does this mean I'm pregnant or could they be false positives? I just don't want to get my hopes up and not be pregnant.. Ya know?

Thanks for the help!

Home pregnancy tests are pretty accurate, with two positives I'd say you're pregnant. Congratulations. :)

False negatives are common, false positives are not. Congratulations!

You are only 17 and your father would not take you to the doctor to find out if you were pregnant. How is he going to react when he finds out that you are pregnant?

Yes, a positive means you are pregnant, it is rare and under only certain medical conditions that we get a false negative.

Are you financially able to afford this baby right now? Is your relationship with your boyfriend strong enough to withstand the ups and downs of pregnancy and parenthood?

I would also suggest you talk with your OB about the risks involved with being pregnant as a teen.

Wow J9, I didn't do the previous post check, I usually do, but I missed it this time.

Pregnant at 17, this is a difficult road you've chosen, and if your father isn't behind you it will be a road that you'll have to walk on your own. Chances are that the baby's daddy won't stick around, that's what the statistics say, so, you'll likely be a single mom.

It's too late now, I wish you luck.
