Re Lily of the Valley, is there a difference between 'pips' and 'bulbs' or are they just different terms for the same thing? Thanks :)

A pip is the fruitstock and it grows horizontally in the ground.

Hi neelie... lily of the valley are one of my most favourite plants, I have lots and lots in my garden but not without a struggle growing them it took me 10 years to succeed.

Try planting them in pots first and when strong enough plant them in the garden.

I would like to limit the little devils in my garden. They grow like weeds and spread quickly.
