The trip lever on my lasco spa tub drain will not move. I have removed the plate and the plastic rod inside will not pull out.

This is the linkage inside your tub waste and overflow, (see image) Thebucket may be hung up but there';s nothing more to undo. The bucket and linkage should pull right out. Put some muscle into it. If you have trouble click on back and tell me ,Good luck, Tom

It got stuck in overflow T. There is a little rim-like detail that sometimes makes it stick. Wiggle with it, pull it up and down. Grab the end with channel locks and pull on it.

I have tried that, pulled it and it still will not come out. There is a metal rod attached to the plastic rod. The trip lever is attached with a cotter pin which connects to the plastic rod which goes down the pipe. I have wiggled it and tried to muscle it up but still no luck. The tub barely gets used and has not been used for several months. It was fixed before by a former friend so I think there is some kind of trick to it I am just not getting.

Hi Sierra,
Both Tom and Milo have stated very well follow their instruction, it looks like the plunger is stuck in the drain, spray some WD-40 in the drain let it soak for a few minutes and try it, don't loose your temper just Wiggle it, see the image below, Thanks.
