There is either a short in the heating coil connections, wiring or the heating coil needs replaced.

Lee Fernandes - There can't be too much wrong ,not much to a gas dryer :: Any how this may help you out ;; First of all a question ? Is there a flame while the dryer is running? IF there is - ( #1 ) The flame burns a mixture of gas and air< A very light blue flam making a roaring sound indicates too much air in the mixture: A flame wiyh yellow tips indicates too little air: These IMPROPER MIXTURES LEAD TO POOR COMBUSTION AND INEFFICIENT HEATING:: TO CORRECT THIS < you will have to readjust the (AIR SHUTTER IN THE BURNER SO THAT THE FLAME APPEARS LIGHT BLUE <YET DOES NOT ROARAND NO YELLOW TIPS ON THE FLAM<
TO DO THIS -UN PLUG the power cord , REMOVE THE LOWER ACCESS PANELTO GET TO THE BURNER:( NOTE ) ON some modles you have to remove the top and the front panel and the DRUM to get to the burner : now how to adjust the air shutter- Loose the thumb screw on the shutter and slideing the air shutter set it sio that the flame has the proper amount of air can enter:: REtighten the thumb screw <PUT DRYER BACK TOGREATHER AGAIN :: IF THE ( IGNITER DOES NOT COME ON AND LIGHT THE BURNER THEN REPLACE IT :: HOPE THIS HELPS <IF NOT COME BACK ON THIS POST AND HIOLLER< GOOD LUCK AND Don't SMOKE AROUND WHILE WORKING ON IT ::
