I'm replacing a simple Comfort 2200 RTH33100C thermastat. Can anyone tell me which color wire goes into which terminal? My wire colors are white, brown, yellow, green, orange, red, and blue. The terminals are E, Awx, Y, G, O, L, R, B, and C. Thanks much.

List the terminals you removed the wires from. Before removing wires from the old thermostat you are supposed to label and write down the old legend so it can be transposed to the new thermostat. The thermostat colors do not tell actually what the wires do in all cases since many contractors do not follow the color code as set by the industry. If you did not write down where the wires were it might be a good idea to open the furnace/airhandler and write down what color is going to which terminal on the tie strip/board. Then post back that info and we can help.

I need the exact color of wire that was on the terminal on the old thermostat. IE was white on Y? etc. It does no good to just list the letters of the terminals since those letters are on most thermostats.
Also what is the exact brand and model of the old thermostat
What is the exact brand and model of the new thermostat.
You posted a model above but I have no idea if it is old or new.
NOW if you did not write down the letter on the thermostat and the wire color that went to that letter then you need to get that info off the furnace/air handler as mentioned before..

No problem but I cannot be of help without the proper info since I am sure you do not want to damage your equipment or the new thermostat.
