Ok so I have two nephews ages 3 and 7. Their father lives with myself and my family. The mother of these precious boys is not a fit parent by any means. And her side of their family is just down right mean to these kids. CPS has removed them 4 times, and she has got them back every time cause their father was also unfit to have them. He now lives with us works a fulltime job and goes to school. One week before christmas their mother was put in jail, you see she was on that deferred adjudication for an aggravated assault, she didn't follow the guidelines set forth by the court. We went to get the boys from her mother that same day. We were about 9 hours away and they came with nothing but the clothes on their backs! We have the 7 year old in school here in dallas and they love being with us. We are terrified she will somehow get out of jail and want the boys back. This CANNOT happen! We have no clue where to start to make sure she can't do that. There has never been any kind of custody orders as they were never legaly married. Someone please point us in the right direction here. Thank you an god bless!

He needs to file for custody and physical placement of the children immediately. The court will order him to take a DNA test, if he hasn't already done so.
