Yes I said 1963! I have had this catus for 3 years an older lady gave it to me because she could no longer care for it. Now and it is dying and I don't know what I did wrong. It was fine now in the matter of days it has started to die. It normally was two tone but always looked healthy. I looked at it this morning and it is brown on a few of it's ends some are black. I have sereval other plants that are very healthy. This is an extreame emergency and anyone that can help me I would greatly appreciate it & you would have helped me save a 46 year old plant.

I can try and help you as I used to grow lots of different kinds of cactus in my yard in South Florida. Your picture did not come through. Could you please try posting it again so I can see the variety of cactus involved.

What kind of soil is it in? Did you change the soil. It needs lots of drainage and sand.. Black tips sound to me like too much water.. and possibly poor drainage.. Has it bloomed recently? Let me Know..
