I had my hair striped and bleached and absolutely hate the results I got. I want to go back to a brown color and get rid of this bleached hair. How long do I have to wait?

There's no reason to wait. Hair doesn't "get better" with time since it's not "alive". The process is usually called a "tintback".
Be careful, however. When you bleached your hair, it was damaged. Second, it removed your natural "undertones". Simply throwing a brown hair dye on it will likely make it take on a greenish tinge. You have to "fill" the hair with red (add red to the hair to compensate for natural pigments that have been lost). This can be done by adding a red dye to the brown dye you want or by putting a red dye on the hair first.
By the way, many people hate the results of bleached hair the first time they bleach. The reason for this is that they get the tone wrong. It's a lot easier to fix a bleach job gone bad than to do a "tintback" and then later try to go blonde again.
