This is my house when I bought it. YUK! I have since painted the wood a Ralph Lauren Violin (Brown) however I have tried 3 accent colors in gray, tan and red and nothing looks right. Trying to finish up before it gets too cold to paint in FL. Pic is attached. Please help. I have stood in Lowe's color center for weeks on end. Too many to choose from :)

Have you tried black? Brown, brick, and black may look nice... or even white?

I would have thought a maroon/red color would look nice...

How about a shade of blue. Maybe a muted one? Or like historian chick said, a maroon color

Did you go to the ralph lauren website. I was just on there messing around with the paint pallets and you can drag different colors down on top of that violin color to see how they look together. It locked up on me but so far natural grey and canvas natural look nice with it. Also a blue color that I can't see right now

Thank you so much. Great idea. The Red I was using was Ralph Lauren as well, Pomagranite, I think. What do you think about that color. My co-worker loves it but she is the only one to see it so far. Every night driving home I picture a ginger bread house with those colors though. I don't think my neighbor was too fond of it either. Im lost

It seems like maybe there isn't enough contrast. Like the colors are both so dark, that might be your problem if you're not sure if you like it or not. I think I like the cream colors with it the best, like "tea and sweets." "antique lace" is nice too." but this is just my opinion. They're very neutral colors

Oh and there's a green called "in the meadow" that looks nice with violin

My house is the brown and maroon combo and I like it. From the pic you attached I think that would be a good choice. If you don't like it after you paint it you can always repaint a different color next year.
