I've got these near-identical growths on both my thumbs, at first I thought they were warts, but wart medication didn't make them go away, and they've only gotten larger since then. I first noticed them around 5th grade, I'm a junior in High School now. They've got absolutely no feeling in them, either... a friend of mine stabbed the one on my right thumb w/ a pencil once and I didn't feel a thing.

I honestly don't know what to make of them... what are they? Are they cancerous? Tumours, maybe? I really have no idea.

Advice? Suggestions?

They could be fatty cysts or something similar.

It is weird that they are in the exact place on both hands but anyway they look to me like warts. Warts can remain on the skin for an eternity and are the most stuborn and hardest skin bumps to get rid of without professional help. A dermatologist will usually freeze them with liquid nitrogen forcing a blood blister and ultimatly the root of the wart. And yes it is painfull. I had one on my hand that took 6+ freezings to get to the root and killl it. They are not fun and over the counter wart remidees suck and do not work. Good luck
