Hello,

I've recently been dying my hair from medium brown to blonde, at the moment it's a blondey colour but there are hints of yellow in it which I do not like at all, but doesn't look particularly bad. I want to get rid of the yellow tones in it though with a very light ash blonde, borderline white. How can I do this with out having to pay a lot of money to get it done at the hairdressers. I dyed it all myself before.. with bleach, etc. there's a lot of highlights in my hair also. THANKS,

Any products in boots I could buy or the beauty suppliers?

Heyy. As your hair is already a light colour. I'd recommend bleaching your hair by visiting Sallys(UK) and getting 12% peroxide and some powder - ONLY do this if your hairs in good condition, also you may need two lots if you have shoulder length hair.
You could dye your whole head or just the yellow bits, up to you. Leave until yellow/white - no more than an hour - rinse and let air dry and leave over night. Next day get a neutral lightest blonde (nice 'n' easy, I swear by it lol) and put over top. I've done this to my friends hair and it's a lovely all over light, light blonde. IF you put lightest ash blonde over the top your hair WILL go grey, however, this fades after a week or so.

Hope I've helped =]

You can try a product by Clairol called ShimmerLights. It's a purple shampoo that's formulated to take the yellow and brassiness out of blonde/highlighted hair.
It's pretty inexpensive and it really does a great job.
You can lather it up and let your hair soak for a few minutes and then rinse it out. The more you do it, the more difference you will see. Plus, it's shampoo, not color, so it's not as damaging to your hair.

I use L'Oreal Superior Preference to color my hair. They make several shades of Ash Blonde. In US it costs about $10

Thanks guys this has actually helped :)
I think I'll give some of these a go. How much is the shampoo and how long does it take to notice the difference?
