What is the maximum jail time someone could serve for violating a felony probation in Georgia?

My boyfriend was recently arrested for a technical violation of a felony probation. His probation officer tried cutting him a deal to serve 6 months in county and then have his probation terminated, but the D.A. revoked the deal. How much time could they try to make him serve now? We have a 9 month old son and another baby on the way so I'm really nervous... wanting to get him home as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, there is no way to tell. Depends on what the felony was and what the "technical violation" was, as well as the particular judge he gets. As you know, some judges are much harsher on violators than others.
