A guy that used to frequent the bar I work in came in today. I haven't seen him in probably about 3 months. He developed cancer about a year and a half ago. He went through chemo and he started to look like his old self again. It came back and he lost tons of weight and the last time I saw him (besides today) he looked rough, very thin, very weak, and you could tell it wasn't looking good. I wondered what happened to him, if he was still alive, in the hospital... Anyway he came in today and he looked weird, for lack of a better word. I didn't want to question him about it, obviously. It looked like he gained weight but you could still tell how sick he was. His face almost looked distorted, it seemed really puffy and swolen and almost like it was scarred. Just wondering... could that have been from chemo again or did he actually just gain a lot of weight? A co-worker had talked to him last week, he said he was too weak to go out anymore and he has a live-in nurse.
