If someone is receiving social security in California, can they purchase a house without being penalized for buying it or the benefits be taken away?

You're only allowed to EARN so much money when you're drawing SS. So, if somebody is purchasing a house based on their INCOME, it's probably going to effect SS, because they've got to be earning a whole lot of money to qualify for a loan these days.
