My last period was on October 13. This period is very light hardly any blood but a light brown discharge. I have taken hpt that came out negative went to doctor and he also did a urine test that was negative. I went to Doctor on December 9. He did an exam and pap smear and prescribed provera to start menstration. I didn't take the meds hoping I would menstrate on my own so on Dec 15 I started this brown discharge with just a little blood. I have gained weight even though I am eating less than before my last period. Also I am very sick when I first wake up every morning. Extremely tired also. But my breasts aren't sore or tender. I go back to the doc on Jan 13. I wonder if it is possible I am pregnant. It would make me and my partner very happy because we are trying to conceive. I will be grateful for any info I get. Maybe there's another drug then the one I've heard of, but are you saying that your doctor prescribed Depo-Provera to start menstruation? If that's the case, I don't understand that whatsoever because Depo is one of the most effective forms of birth control, as it stops ovulation in most women.

Have your periods always been irregular? If not, then wait a few more weeks and take another pregnancy test.

If all the tests are negative, then you are just having an off period.

Some women do bleed and get negative answers and really are pregnant. You will just have to wait a little longer to get an accurate answer. But since the tests are negative I would just go with that. In the meantime, stay healthy, don't drink or smoke (if you do) and take prenatal vitamins JUST IN CASE YOU ARE.
