Under what conditions was the trailer there in the furst place? What you should probably do is send the current owner of the trailer a letter stating that if the trailer isn't removed within x days then you will be charging them rent at y rate.

The trailer is the finance company's property. They foreclosed on it. Just because it's still sitting on your land means they just haven't gotten around to moving it elsewhere. You need to send them a letter and demand rent from the finance company. They should have moved it off your property. No, you can't "reposess" it back. Sorry, not that easy.

I'm confused... doesn't "repossession" mean that the party with a lien on that property takes possession of said property? If the trailer isn't in their possession, how can it be "repossessed?"

Basically the OP had trailer repoed and the finance company hasn't come and moved it and HE wants to know if he can "seize" the property since it has not been moved off his property. The answer is NO, he can't do this as it is not his property. It was a nice try, but no cigar.
