I love latin and the tattoo I'm going to get is going to be a nautical compass with "direction" in latin written above it. I want it translated in terms of having direction in life or heading in the right direction, thanks!

How about viator ("vee-AH-tore") = wayfarer or traveler, someone on the way (into the future).

via = "way"
-tor = one who (is on the)"

Viator is short and fun to say.

"Direction" in Latin is cursus which would be frequently misunderstood.
