President-elect Obama conducted an intensive internal audit of the "Office of the President-elect " and cleared himself and his staff of any wrong-doing in the Pay-for-play-the-Chicagoway scandal .But since this is an ongoing investigation his team voted 1-0 to not release the results of the internal review of contacts with the Guv.We are assured that there were no "inappropriate" contacts between the Obama team and Blago... only appropriate contacts.
The Chitown Suntimes reports that that defense attorneys are getting calls from "victims" of Blago's pay-for-play schemes These "victims" are worried they are on the tapes and want to lawyer-up before Elliot Ness Fitzgerald comes knocking shotgun in arm.
Tapes have potential witnesses speaking out :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Gov. Blagojevich (http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/blagojevich/1330610,CST-NWS-impeachside14.article)
Evidently this has been ongoing for years.
Question... If Blago thought that the seat was gold worth mining now ;what was the seat worth the last time it was vacant in 2004 ? What was the quid pro quo to his partner in slime Tony Rezko and his protégé of the Chicago way Barack Obama ?
For his part Blago has hired legendary "will do anything to win" Ed Genson; previously defense lawyer for R.Kelly .

Does "anything to win" include leaking the details of Rahm Emanuel's negotiations ? I'd love to be a fly on the wall during the discovery phase of this case.

I heard the AG office in Illinois asked Obama's team to delay the release of all information since the investigation is ongoing, they expect to allow them to release the information later this week.
So let's not start slinging mud until the facts are out.

Let's put it this way... Fitzgerald rushed to arrest before the deed was done... why ? Because the Chitown Trib was going to release what it knew . Not sure if he even asked them not to ,but if he did ,they ignored him.
Obama can selectively say that he exonerates himself and his staff but when pressed for details ,he hides behind that skirt of "ongoing investigation"... how convenient!

Like I said ;in discovery Genson;the good lawyer he is ;will surely explore ALL contacts between Obama and Blago before and after the election .

The Tribune did apparently withhold publishing (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-blagojevich-tribune-cooperatdec10,0,2227525.story) certain info at Fitzgerald's request, they've mentioned it several times.
Meanwhile, Blago says he's anxious to talk to Illinoisans soon, and Patti Blagojevich shows her softer side (http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2008/12/patti-blagojevich-note-neighbor.html). Meanwhile, the media spin continues (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/16/us/politics/16legal.html?bl&ex=1229662800&en=2e515ecfd65bac73&ei=5087%0A).

Hello:
Look, it's obvious to me that Bill Ayers had his hand in this...

Given that Rhambo is on tape allegedly over 20 times in direct contact with Blago or his staff over the appointment ;and given the fact that the Trib endorsed Obama mid-October... it doesn't surprise me that they withheld the story.

Nah, ex, but the Obama/Emanuel relationship with Blago is morphing just like the Obama/Ayers relationship did.
Earlier this year, Emanuel (http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2008/12/obama-emanuel-are-so-close-with.html) said he and Obama “participated in a small group that met weekly when Rod was running for governor...we basically laid out the general election, Barack and I and these two.” A spokesman for Blagojevich confirmed Emanuel’s account...
But that was then, this is now...
Emanuel had overstated Obama’s role. “There was an advisory council that was inclusive of Rahm and Barack but not limited to them,” Wilhelm said, and he disputed the notion that Obama was “an architect or one of the principal strategists.”
But speaking of Ayers, you missed an opportunity to bid on dinner for 4 at Bill and Bernadine's house (http://gapersblock.com/ac/2008/12/03/wants-needs-and-bill-ayers-on/).

Is it just Democrats who feel entitled to Senate seats? First it’s Biden and son, then the Kennedy heirloom, now blacks expect (http://www.suntimes.com/news/washington/1331127,CST-EDT-laura15.article) Obama's seat to go to a "qualified" African American "who can fill this vacancy and who has the capacity to be re-elected when [Obama's] term ends in 2010."
“There's a massive conspiracy afoot” to defraud Illinoisans and Americans of the “black Senate seat” we “need -- and deserve.”
Dang, I sure miss that Republican culture of corruption. :D

Add the entitled aspect to the legacy issue and I guess JJjr is a slam dunk. One wonders why he had to be shaken down by Blowdryvich for the job??

It's a done deal then .Obama's legal counsel would have released damaging information if there was any to be found... right ? The media watchdogs can go home now... or take beefcake photos of "the Office of the President-elect".
The Chicago way...
We didn't do nuttin', you got nuttin' on me... hunker down.
Who knows... perhaps there's nothing there . We will find out when Rhambo is hauled before the Grand Jury to give testimony.
Meanwhile JJJr is trying to burn the evidence

Is that not conflict of interest, if not unbiased?
Can you imagine if the headline were " Bush team probe of Bush team finds no Bush team impropriety into going into Iraq " :D

The headlines would be something like "Bush is full of sh*t"
