Okay so my Golden Retriver has been diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer. She's been with me for half of my life, She is my best friend.. I really don't know what to do. She has an expected year to live, and that hurts worse. I've cried, more or less, balled every day since I found out. I don't know how to cope. To look at my dog, and to realize she's dying, it's horrible. If you have any tips on how to deal, I know it's not going to be easier either way. But I live with divorced parents, and I'm only available to see her every other Fri-Sun. I call my mother every day to check up on her.. If anyone knows what I'm going through, please say so.. It's much appreciated. She's only 6 by the way..

I am not sure exactly what you can do for a dog with lymphoma
But for my dogs cancer I gave her astragulas, shark cartilage, Co Q 10 and antioxidents. Cancer can not live when your body has enough oxygen and is cleansed (detoxed).
Some people swear by feeding their dogs 'homemade' dog food.
There are a couple posts here on that. It may be beneficial to your dog for you to do that. Also if you do I would make sure she also gets Omega fatty acid (fish oil).

Here is a website on alternative's for cancer.
Make sure if you follow any of it that any foods are not on the list of people food poisonous to dogs such as grapes, chocolate, etc...
