View Full Version : I feel sick whenever I eat

For the past few months I can't seem to eat very much. I get hungry occasionally, but then when I try to eat, after only a couple bites I feel full and start to feel nauseous. So that means that I hardly eat anything all day. I originally thought it was because I had stopped running. I run on the cross country team, but since I stopped running, it's logical that I would eat less, but not to this extreme. I don't think this is normal. I only eat a few bites at every meal. I want to eat more, but I can't. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

What are you eating? Just a wild guess, it could be your gall bladder.

I don't know if this could be your problem but I know when I get like that I feel bloaty as well as nauseous. I take digestive enzymes before I eat. Also if you are not taking ANY meds. You could try taking a digestive detox for awhile. I had to take the detox on my day off because it had me running to the bathroom a lot. Now it doesn't when I take it since I am pretty much detoxed now. If you take a detox it is not something you should take all the time. I only take it when I start feeling really bloated.
The digestive enzymes is good to take all the time though.

Go to a doctor- this could be a symptom of several serious illnesses that are much better if caught early.

Are you drinking a lot of water, juice, etc, because this could also be why you are not hungry?

I have the same thing too. After eating a couple bites of food I feel very sick and I feel like throwing up and then I went to the bathroom. Mostly at night my stomach feels very weird. I think the problem is that maybe you are eating too much junk food and not healthy food? Because one time I ate a combo of whip cream with fish with ice cream and chips, I felt very sick after. So maybe you should watch what you should eat.

That combo would make ANYBODY feel sick.
But you are right that eating healthier makes you feel healthier.

I have the same problem but I'm 12 and I have lost a good bit of weight I eat junk food but not a lot. I eat fruit and veg. but for the last couple of weeks I have been getting rele bad stomic pains I told my mam but she is too busy to bring me to the doctor. My best friend keeps saying I'm gettint too skinny but I can't rele see it! Please HELP its rele bad!

Hi , I'm fifteen and lately I've been feeling sick whenever I eat .
Like I get hungry and then once I'm half way done with my meal my stomach
Starts to hurt and I feel like throwing up. And I've also been tired the past few
Days . I don't know but I just like craved a banana split and it tasted good but
Once again once I was half way done with it I felt like throwing up.
I don't know what it is but I don't think its anything serious? Is it ?

I had this a little while ago, I was In and out of hospital, they told me I had gastroenteritis. It is basic all where the atomoch gets paralysed and can't digest anything. Before this started were you eating normal amounts? Sometimes it can be caused by the stomach has shrunk, all you have to do Lols start eating little bit often through out the day, soon you should be able to start eating bigger meals :-) hope I helped x
