The truth, MrsSuma, is that there is no real short-cut to losing stomach fat. In order to reduce stomach fat, you will need to consider the following:

1. Diet/nutrition - What are you eating on a daily basis? Do you practice eating a healthy, balanced diet, full of fruit, vegetables, and grains, or are you a victim of greasy, processed foods? Are you eating larger portions than you were meant to eat?
To begin losing weight(including stomach fat,) you are going to need to eat less. Count every calorie. Visit Calorie Calculator | Weight Loss Calculator (http://www.cookingnook.com/calorie-calculator.html) to figure out the amount of calories you need to eat to maintain your weight, and additionally, the amount you need to start eating in order to lose weight. Replace unhealthy snacks such as potato chips and chocolate bars with vegetables and fruit, and instead of drinking soda, drink a fruit juice or water.

2. Exercise - Let's face it. Without exercise, if you're not fat, you're going to be at least somewhat chubby or lacking tone. In order to exercise properly, you are going to need to follow step 1, because the quality of food you eat determines the amount of energy you will possess for exercising. Eat lots of carbohydrates, because even though there are people who will tell you that carbs are bad, they are in fact your body's primary source of energy, and it is what your body burns first and foremost. After you've figured out the nutrition/diet part, the following exercises can help shed off stomach fat:

I. Running/jogging - Sounds too simple, doesn't it? Well, it works. If you have a treadmill, use it. If not, take a run outside. First start with a brisk 5-10 minute walk as a warm-up, and proceed in to a steady jog - never run as fast as you can, but at a moderate pace. It will wear you out very quickly, but as you keep doing it, you will build up endurance, and the body fat will begin to diseappear and as a bonus, you'll get killer legs.

II. Sit-ups- This is also a pretty simple exercise you can do in order to lose stomach fat. A sit-up consists of the following:

"1. Lie down on the floor with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. It's best to have something holding your feet down like a sit up bar or under a couch.
2. Touch your hands lightly against the side of your head.
3. Using your abdominal muscle, pull your body up head first towards your knees.
4. Touch your elbows to your knees.
5. Let your body go back down to the floor in your original position."

There you have it. A sit-up.

III. Practice good posture - Believe it or not, posture plays a significant role in most exercising, and even plays a significant role in stomach fat. If you slouch, you will notice the fat on your stomach bunches up. When constantly slouching, your back muscles become weak - posture is the very core of your body. Some people can't sit up straight for more than 30 seconds without feeling fatigued. Try it. Build good posture, because not only will it reduce stomach fat, and the appearance thereof, but it will also ensure that the exercises you are doing will work to their fullest potential. Give it a try.

IIII. Physical activity in general - In addition, it is important to note that physical activity in general will help reduce your bodily fat percentage. Sitting at the computer or television does nothing but rot your brain. Implementing physical activity in to every-day life will help you lose weight. Walk to school or work, instead of driving or taking the bus. Instead of sitting around indoors, go for a walk here and there, and participate in sports with your friends. Do anything, as long as it gets you moving. Whatever interests you. I promise you, it will help.

3. Attitude - Last but not least, attitude. This is the most important aspect of all. This involves consistancy and outlook - in order to see results, you need to keep exercising. In order to keep exercising, you need to stay motivated. In order to stay motivated, you need a motivation. Do you want to look good? Be healthy? Or desire to possess, in general, a feeling of well-being? Whatever it is, let that be your motivation. Force yourself to believe that you can accomplish this, and that as long as you perservere, you can change anything, because in reality, you can. Think positive, don't make excuses not to exercise, and you will be just fine.

Conclusion:
So really, it's quite simple. With the right diet, appropriate work-outs, and the right attitude, you can start to lose stomach fat(and weight in general) immediately. As long as you keep doing it, you will see results. Cut corners, and you will see little or no results. Enter with the appropriate mind-set, schedule exercises before you do them, and stick to your schedule, and you'll be on your way to a better you.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

You can do sit-ups any time you'd like. Doing sit-ups while on your period will have no affect on you, so don't worry about a thing.

When first starting with sit-ups, you should do as many as you possibly can, then take a 30 second to a one-minute break, and try doing as many as you possibly can once again, until you've done about 3-4 rounds. Find something that works for you.
