My friend was recently violated for not going to probation appointments. For some of them he was in surgery and could not walk and has a Dr.s note. On the arrest warrant it shows dates saying he was not there when he did go. He is currently trying to get the sign in sheets for those days so he can prove he was there. The probation office is saying they cannot give them to him. This is in CT. What can he do to get the records?

He should have advised the PO prior to his surgery. After the fact is a tad too late. He will probably be able to view the sign in sheets on the day of his probation violation hearing. Doctor's notes are meaningless unless he advised the PO before his surgery.
