I bought a house about 6 months ago and need to check the furnace filter. The problem is I do know where it is located. It is a Trane XE 90 maybe 10 to 12 years old. Thank you for your help:eek:

Actually you should have checked the filter 5 months ago. It is a every one or two month deal. The filter can be located anywhere on the return air side of the furnace or in the furnace blower compartment. It could also be in a major large return air filter grill. There is NO set location for a furnace filter except it is on the return air side of the furnace.
