I have a car loan through a Credit Union. We have repeatedly faxed proof of insurance, but the Credit Union says they have received nothing. They have now attached their own insurance at a very high price, raised my monthly payments accordingly and are considering my payment late. I have paid my regular payment, but my loan is in danger of being reported as being in default, because I am not paying their insurance.
I do not know where to go and what else to do. It seems that incompetence on their part is my problem. Where can I get some help with this?

Why didn't you take your proof of insurance to them in person? Faxing stuff is not a good way to make sure they actually got anything. Start by going there in person and providing proof that your vehicle is insured. They just basically want to push their higher priced insurance down your throat.
