I have loaned an individual $5200 and have not received a penny back. I do have a copy of her invalid bank account with her name, address and dollar value of the account. I sent the money to her to get the account placed on a valid status but have not received any of the money back as agreed. Can I place a lien against the account?

What sort of loan documents do you have, what did you have them sign before you gave them the money.
Also sent money to a invalid bank account??

The person who owns the account was robbed in the UK and needed money. She begged and pleaded and I gave in. She gave me the information on her bank account, along with the password as "proof of honesty". After many promises to repay I still have not received any reimbursement. I know that if I put a lien on the account she will be forced to reimburse me. I have all of the Western Union transactions as proof of monies sent to her in the UK. Is this legal to put a lien on her account? If so, how do I go about doing it?

The account in question is not "invalid" it is "inactive". Some of the monies sent to this person was to have the account activated. It is a Citi account in the UK, not in an american bank.
