I have a Kenmore gas dryer which the ignitor is not working. The drum turns, but the ignitor does not warm up. I replaced the ignitor which did not solve the problem. What should be checked next?

JR42 - This is about the only thing left to try that I can think of ;; #1 - REmove the lower access panel and examine the burner flame while dryer is operating ::: #2 - THe dryer burns a mixture of gas and air :::
#3 - A very light BLUE flame ,that has a roaring sound to it , INDICATES ( Too much AIR in the mixture ::A flame With YELLOW TIPS ,INDICATES <( TO LITTLE AIR ) #4 -
These IMPROPER MIXTURES LEAD TO POOR COMBUSTION AND { INEFFICENT HEATING}
TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM::
#1 - Loosen the thumb screw on the air shutter :: ADJUST THE AIR SHUTTER <TILL YOU HAVE A LIGHT BLUE FLAME <YET DOES NOT ROAR:: AFTER YOU HAVE IT ADJUSTED RIGHT ( TIGHTEN DOWN THE THUMB SCREW :
#2 - ON some modles you have to raise the top NOTE ( AFTER UNPLUGING THE DRYER> ) LIFT TOP AND REMOVE THE FRONT PANEL AND REMOVE THE DRUM TO DO WHAT YOU JUST DONE
#3- NOTE:: ( IF THE DRYER CONTINUES TO HEAT POORLY< AND THE REST OF THE DRYER WORKS<DO THIS ::)
#3a - CALL A GAS APPLIANCE REPAIRMAN :: DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY THUING FURTHER REPAIRS ::!! STAY SAFE < ALSO Don't SMOKE AROUND WHILE DOING THE WORK ::: GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS ::: F.B.E.
