Will any one know about Comman Portal Platform(CPP) Technology? I need information about it, I want to know what is it?

It is/was a propsed technology in the open source community that is Web/Microsoft-centric as it uses a .Net framework and seems to be fairly abandoned. The only thing I could find is an alpha paper from 2001 on SourceForge.net in the Projects section. I knew before I looked that it must be there and old, but it did not "ring any bells" until I looked.

For some answers. There are still some professional proponets of it though their interest seems self-centered, commercial and self-serving.
