I have a 2003 Kenmore side-by-side. The water line works fine. The ice maker makes the ice cubes, but it will not drop them into the ice bucket. When I manually pull the cubes off the prongs, they have huge holes in them as if they get stuck to the prongs. If I don't pull them off the prongs, they ultimately disappear to an unknown place. It's as if they slowly disolve while stuck on the prongs.

diannemartincfp - THE orongs you are referring to ,when they actyate and start around they are heated and melt thir way threw the ice , the trouble you will find inside the icemaker box, either the heat on the prongs quits to soon and the cubes can not fall off ,because they are prtobly froze back to them ; it will be better if you called a appliance service man and let him check it out and it may just need to be adjusted, or you may need a new ice maker ; IF YOU DO HE WILL Probably HAVE ONE THT IS USED BUT STILL GOOD AND WOULD COST A LOT LESS :: WHEN I USED TO STRIP DOWN USED REFRIG> THAT WERE NOT WORTH REPAIRING BUT STILL HAD PARTS THAT WERE STILL GOOD <I WOULD SAFE THEM AND LET PEOPLE BUY THEM AT A REDUCED PRICE .Good luck and have a better day tomorrow and GOD BLESS ::F.B.E.
