Need help with this system word problem:

John works in landscaping. He gets paid $50 for each house he pressure washes and $20 for each lawn he mows. He gets 4 times more jobs for mowing lawns than for pressure washing houses. During a given month, John earned $2600. How many houses did John pressure wash?

Let H=number of houses pressure washed

Let L=number of lawns mowed.

We are told that he mows 4 times as many lawns as he washes houses. How can you express that?

Set up the equation and set it equal to 2600.

50H+20L=2600

Get rid of a variable by using the given condition, then solve for H.
