The house I am renting was owned by a friend and they let it go into foreclosure. So some guy shows up at my door and wanted us out in 9 days. He has brought the price way down on the house and I have made an offer but have heard nothing back. I f you are already the tenant are your chances better of getting the house.
It does need work from the ground up and I don't know if they know this or not. But I hate dealing with a middle man he doesn't get back to me.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

First what guy showed up? Someone from the court giving you official notice ? If the court gave you notice, then the old landlord no longer owns it.

Once it sales you will get a written office notice to move.

Did you make a written offer to buy the property, was it a short sale ( for less than the mortgage )

If you made a offer for more than the mortgage, then all that has to happen would be the owner sign the wirtten contract and you go on.

What real estate agent are you using, what are they telling you

Why didn't you make an offer before it went in foreclosure?

Are you sure you are dealing with the actual owner or theur appointed representative?
