Can anyone help me? I drive a Ford Focus SReg. For the past few weeks I have been hearing a knocking sound coming from under my bonnet and my car keeps pulling strongly to the right. I know that my tyres are at the correct pressure so am unsure of what can be causing it to pull. The knocking sound speeds up when I accelerate and is louder when I am going slow. Can this be related to my tyres. I need to take it to a garage but don't really want to take it to a garge without having an idea about what's wrong with it. Being female some mechanics seem to think they can rip us off!
Please help me! I love my car and don't want to ruin it.

Well I am female and never go into a mechanic with the mindset I am going to be ripped off, if that would happen, I probably would be ripped off because that is the way I would come across.

Just take it to a mechanic, I take it you are in the UK, and get it over and done with lisalost and good luck. Stand firm, stand tall, after all you are WOMAN !
