Last thanksgiving break my son, at the time was only 12 years old( who has been diagnosed as trainably mentally handicapped , by the school and doctors,) was baker acted Later on that month, I was told by an off duty department of children and families case worker, that because my son has mental problems that he could not be baker acted and the school and police officer both should have known this, and we had an open and closed case against the school and possibly the police department as well. Is there any truth to all this and where and what should we do now?

Hello dark:

If something illegal happened to your son, hire a lawyer.

Well, Darkspirit2, looks like you didn't read or understand the rules of the site (Ask Me Help Desk - FAQ: Terms of Service, FAQ and How To Use This Site (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_gen_navigation)) and have pretty much blown off the people who could help you, including my colleague, Excon.

As Excon said, I think you're on your own here.
