My 8 month old son has 5 dots on the right side of his face. He does not try to scratch them so it seems like they don't bother him. What could that be a sign of?

Are the dots bumped up like a zit? My daughter got a few red bumps and I took her to the doctor and it ended up being Molluscum. I had never heard of it but turns out it is pretty common. The bumbs can last a really long time and can spread. If they are raised I would take him to the doctor.
