Have you tried to stop, what sort of things do you lie about.

If you can not though will power be more honest, you will need to seek out counseling

How about biting your tongue when you are about to tell a lie?

At least you can admit to this! Most people can't. Where are you located? I would think that there was counselors that specialize in this.

The first thing you have done that's really great is to recognize you have a problem. The second thing you might consider is trying to figure out what your "trigger" is. Maybe a phrase or a word or specific situation which causes you to lie. One you recognize the trigger, you can start working on establishing a new response to the trigger.

When I was young, I used to lie about little insignificant things, but somehow they always ended up coming back to bite me somehow. I discovered I mainly lied to impress people or to cover up for what I thought was something inferior. Of course in reality what I thought was inferior was actually perfectly fine and didn't need covering up in the first place.
